BENEFITS
Education and Skill-Building
Growing Domes offer excellent opportunities for educational programs and workshops focused on sustainable farming techniques, food preservation, and business management, empowering individuals to become more self-sufficient and resilient.
Community Engagement
Growing Domes serve as gathering places for community members interested in gardening and sustainable living. They provide spaces for people to come together, share knowledge, and work collaboratively on gardening projects, fostering a sense of belonging and community cohesion.
Extended Growing Seasons
Growing Dome gardens are productive beyond traditional growing seasons, helping to increase overall food security in the community. This also facilitates hands-on learning experiences for student throughout the school year. In addition, a wider variety of crops can be grown, including those that might not typically thrive in the local climate. This diversity can enrich the offerings, providing community members with access to a greater range of fresh produce that suits their local tastes and cultural backgrounds.
