LockFrame – Panelized Framing Solution

LockFrame is a Canadian-manufactured panelized framing system built around standardized components, proprietary connectors, and high-performance SIP technology. Designed for speed, adaptability, and scalable delivery, it supports housing, infrastructure, and community development projects.

A Better Way to Build

Traditional framing asks crews to measure, cut, adjust, and assemble a structure piece by piece on site. LockFrame® shifts that work upstream into a controlled manufacturing process, giving builders factory-prepared frames that arrive ready to fit together with accuracy and consistency. The result is a more predictable building process designed to save time, reduce waste, and support consistent performance from one project to the next.

  • Up to 20%Lower material costs
  • Up to 75%Faster labour time

Estimated savings per square foot compared to traditional stick framing.

Designed by Builders, For Builders

Less Time, Labour, Cost, Complexity

The LockFrame panelized framing system approach was developed to make structural framing faster, simpler, and more predictable, without compromising the flexibility builders demand.

  • Builders on scaffolding assembling a LockFrame wall Labour AvailabilitySkilled labour should be used for skilled work. LockFrame reduces repetitive site prep by moving cutting, fitting, and insulation into the factory, helping crews focus on efficient assembly and the details that require their expertise.
  • CNC router cutting LockFrame parts from an engineered wood panel Cost ControlThe more guesswork in the quote, the more risk in the build. LockFrame provides detailed project review, compatibility assessment, and calculator-based quoting, helping teams define scope and identify material cost savings of up to 20% compared with conventional stick framing.
  • A two-storey LockFrame structure on site beside stacks of components Installation TimeFraming should take days, not weeks
LockFrame components arrive pre-cut, insulated, labelled, and ready to connect, helping crews assemble structural shells up to 75% faster than conventional stick framing. Components can be unloaded, positioned, and assembled by hand.
  • Render of a steel hub plate joining LockFrame members Site ComplexitySimpler assembly starts with smarter preparation. LockFrame uses clear connection points, routed grooves, and proprietary locking hardware to guide the assembly sequence, helping crews frame with fewer field decisions and site adjustments.
  • A LockFrame building going up on a gravel site with crates and a container Simplified Site LogisticsSpend more time building, and less time handling materials. LockFrame components are designed for flat-packed delivery, human-scale handling, and efficient positioning on site, reducing dependency on cranes, oversized modules, and complex unloading requirements.
  • Aerial render of a two-part home built with LockFrame Design Flexibility25 core components in a prefab building system. Countless configurations. LockFrame uses a small set of standardised modular frames that can be arranged across a wide range of layouts, helping teams assess new builds, existing plans, additions, and future expansions through one adaptable system.

LockFrame Demo Timelapse

This time lapse documents a 14-hour total build of an approximately 800 sq. ft. structure and demonstrates how LockFrame can reduce reliance on conventional stick framing, simplify assembly, and improve construction efficiency.

Inside the LockFrame® System

The LockFrame shell is composed of standardised structural frame types, engineered wood members, insulated SIP panels, steel hub connectors, and project-specific interface details that coordinate with conventional construction systems, dimensions, and materials.

Adaptable by Design

LockFrame is designed as a flexible structural system, not a single building model. The same core component logic can support a wide range of project types, from compact residential units and custom homes to multi-unit developments, remote housing, accessory buildings, commercial workspaces, and industrial support structures.

Because the system is built around standardised components and conventional construction dimensions, each project can be reviewed for layout, scope, site conditions, and intended use. Builders, developers, and project teams can work with Arctic Acres to assess whether LockFrame is the right fit for a specific build.

Stick Frame Compatibility

LockFrame can be integrated directly with conventional stick framing wherever a project requires custom details or non-standard conditions. The primary structure can be built with LockFrame's panelized building kit, while stick framing is used for unique openings, interior layouts, unusual geometry, or other specialised sections and connected directly to the LSL structure.

Build stick-framed sections as modules or frame directly from the system using it as a guide for precise alignment.
  • Interior partitions framed conventionally inside a LockFrame structure 02Interior LayoutsInterior rooms and partitions can be built using conventional framing inside any LockFrame structure. The repeating panel struts provide clear reference points, making it easy to plan and build interior spaces with familiar methods.

  • Existing Plans & New BuildsEntire structures can be designed around LockFrame, or existing plans can be reviewed and adapted through a project configuration.
  • Renovations & AdditionsLockFrame can connect with existing conventional framing for additions, expansions, phased construction, and renovation projects.

Project Review & Support

From drawings and design details to delivery-ready components, we help translate your plans into a defined structural package built around clarity, coordination, and execution.

  1. 1 Project ReviewProvide drawings, site location, intended use, approximate size, and project goals. Our team reviews the project for compatibility with the LockFrame system, including layout, span considerations, scope, and delivery requirements.
  2. 2 Quote & Technical PackageArctic Acres prepares a detailed quote, feasibility review, and technical package. This may include material scope, shop drawings, engineering details, installation guides, budgeting, delivery, and project-specific recommendations.
  3. 3 Manufacturing & DeliveryApproved components are manufactured, prepared, and coordinated for delivery. LockFrame components are designed for flat-packed shipping and efficient site handling, helping reduce delivery complexity for typical projects.
  4. 4 Site SupportInstallation guidance, contractor coordination, and trained assembly support can be coordinated by project. The goal is to give builders a clear path from structural package to site assembly.

For each project, Arctic Acres reviews the intended design, site conditions, building use, and project scope to determine LockFrame compatibility before moving into production.
