Delivery & Site Preparation

Receiving your kit, shipping options, crate sizes and preparing the site.

An Arctic Acres 20-foot shipping container on site

GeoHomes are flat-packed for transport and shipped directly to your project site. Delivery planning should begin before your order is ready to ship, as site access, unloading, staging, storage, and contractor coordination all affect how smoothly the project moves from receiving materials to assembly.

Receiving Your Kit

Your GeoHome will arrive as a packaged structural kit containing the core components required for assembly. Before delivery, confirm that someone will be available to receive the dome home delivery, inspect the materials, and coordinate unloading. Arctic Acres will work with you in advance to review delivery timing and receiving requirements.

Container and LTL Shipping Options

GeoHomes are packaged into six crates and can be shipped in a 20-foot shipping container or through LTL freight, depending on the project, destination, and order configuration. Container shipping can be useful for consolidated delivery, longer-distance transport, or projects where secure temporary storage is beneficial.

Site Access & Staging

Before delivery, confirm that your site has clear access for trucks, unloading equipment, and material movement. Plan for a staging area near the build site where panels, hardware, tools, and other components can be organized safely. A clear staging area helps reduce delays and makes assembly more efficient.

Storage and Build Environment

Once delivered, materials should be kept organized, protected, and accessible for assembly. If the build will not begin immediately, store components away from standing water and unnecessary weather exposure using the container, covered storage, tarps, or indoor space where appropriate. Keep the build area clear and safe for moving panels, setting ladders or scaffolding, and working around the structure.
